Motivations has evolved to combine the experience of a variety of qualified and experienced people to provide a unique care facility for young people between 8 and 18 years of age for whom local authorities may not have suitable placements.

We aim to provide a variety of placement options combining care facilities, in small residential homes maintaining a home environment with education, therapy and adventurous activities, striving to help every child achieve positive outcomes during their stay with us. We cater for emergency, short, medium and long-term needs and also offer outdoor crisis intervention as well as assessment packages.

We look after children of 8-18 years of age predominantly those who present challenging behaviour and have complex needs as well as those who are on the periphery of offending. We also offer residential childcare for children displaying harmful sexual behaviour.

Through our skilled and experienced staff teams, we aim to consistently deliver placement stability, high quality health and social care and achieve excellent educational results, which we believe is pivotal to our success in achieving positive outcomes for children with all kinds of challenging behaviours.

All our homes are regulated by the Office for Standards in Education (OFSTED). We are also licensed by the Adventurous Activities Licensing Authority (AALA) for a wide range of outdoor activities. Motivations is also a member of Independent Children's Homes Association (ICHA). As an employer, we are recognised as Investors in People (IiP).
